al-Masjid al-Nabawi (Mosque of the Prophet).
My Story
This is the first time I go for Umrah. Part 1 of my Umrah Trip, I would like to share some of the photos taken during my trip to Medina. I hope you enjoy!
Medina is the second holiest city in Islam after Makkah. It is the place where Prophet Muhammad has been buried. Medina also called as “The Radiant City”. The location is about 338 kilometers from Makkah.
The Mosque of the Prophet (al-Masjid al-Nabawi) is the “Haram” place, where non-Muslims cannot enter this zone. The Mosque is very big, at least ten times bigger than Putrajaya Mosque. The environment is very peaceful and relaxing, except for certain places such as Raudah and Prophet’s tomb. Those two places are very pack especially after prayers. The crowds are very hard to control over there because it is super crowded. Frankly speaking, I almost get killed because of extremely crowded until hardly to breath. I cannot even move my single hand because of the space limitation is very limited. When I’ve entered the crowds, for sure there is no turning back. What I need to do is just follow the crowds. It took me half an hour to escape from the crowds. Seriously, I feel like diving without oxygen. Can you imagine that? Hahaha! This mosque is full air-conditioning. This mosque is very well-maintained by Bin Laden Group. The architecture design is perfectly done. This mosque powered by thousands of CCTV’s for security purpose. The security is very strict until cannot bring the camera inside the mosque. Good job to Saudi Government because take a very good care to this great mosque very well.
I love this mosque. I really feel like my second home already. I miss al-Nabawi so much. I really hope in the future I got another chance to come to this mosque.

This is the place that where the Muslims ambushed by Quraysh armies in Battle of Uhud. 70 Muslim troops died in this ambush. More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Uhud

Quraysh archeries attacked Muslims from this mountain.

Kurma Market. They sell variety of dates at dirt cheap price.

There are many types of dates from few different countries selling over here.

View from high altitude and that is the final layer of clouds. The sky’s color varies from pale to dark.

Saudi Arabian Airlines. That is my aircraft!

We are on the way to Makkah (the holiest place for Muslims) by bus.
